GSM is an abbreviation for “grams per square metre” and it describes how heavy the material is – it is based on the weight of one square metre of the paper in grams. When preparing your artwork for Posters printed one side only or both sides it is important to add 3mm bleed all round the edge of the finished size. It is easy to set up bleed in desktop publishing programs such as Adobe InDesign, CorelDraw or Microsoft Publisher, but is much more difficult in Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Word.
